Are soulmates real?

Oh my, talk about treading where angels will not go! I am going to approach this question, but make no guarantees you will like the answer. First, you must believe in reincarnation for the term soul mate to have any real meaning. Then, if you actually do believe in that concept, you need to realize that a person that may be your soul mate may be some one to whom you are attracted strongly, or someone you cannot stand to be around. The possibilities are about equal either way.

The reason for this is that a person who is a soul mate would be someone who would be coming back around in your life to finish unfinished business. This can be of a personal and intimate nature, in which case you find yourself in the midst of an unlooked for "love" relationship. But, again, even here, you may have met to clean up old karma. It is just possible that you and this person broke sacred bonds in a past life and are now in the midst of clearing up the mess that created in your karmic map.

So, the question now must be approached, do you want to find a "soul mate"? Maybe, if you are prepared for the growth that can result from the intense learning that is often part of clearing up past karmic dust. The soulmate may be someone who actually grates on your nerves so badly that you want to wring their neck every time you are around them. That can be no picnic.

So, I must ask you, do you believe in reincarnation? If you do, you need to examine whether there is karmic work you need to do, and be open to whatever Spirit sends your way to clear up your past mistakes, whether in this life or a dozen past.
