Why do you think people have UFO abduction experiences? What do you think that is about?

Hmmm, I wonder. First, to completely deny the possibility of the existence of life on other planets is foolhardy. I do not believe that it is possible that ours is the only planet where intelligent, tool making life exists. Now, having said that, I suspect that most of the stories of alien abductions may, where there is any sense of legitimacy, be the nightmares of those with extreme abandonment issues.

I actually feel that, IF the other life forms have advanced to the point of interstellar flight, they are probably advanced enough to be thoroughly disinterested in maiming or traumatizing less developed folks on a "third world" planet, such as ours. If they can travel that well, on exploratory terms, it is altogether plausible that the "prime directive" of science fiction is something already in effect in their thought processes. Which means, they are not supposed to intermix with the "hill folk", so that we can advance on our own, or kill ourselves on our own.

However, one thing to consider, with all the UFO sightings is that it may simply be our own people doing it . . . .here's how far we are via the ISS . Who knows how far it's already gone? (Just to feed the paranoia that already exists in our culture.) Another thing to consider is that our planet is such a pretty blue, maybe we just attract a lot of interstellar tourists?!?
